    WW I era ship models

Hey from the colonies. Just recently got back into putting together models as an adult after not touching one since I was around 12. Very satisfying! I've done a lot of reading on the WW I naval war and have been looking around for models of that period.

I found ICM's Koenig class models and did the Koenig itself, as well as Revelle's SMS Emden. Been trying to find others of that time period (late 1880s on up to WW I is of interest to me as well), but only have found the above and the 3 Russian ships of the Russo-Japanese War by Zveda. I'm looking at getting one of these at this point but was wondering if anyone out on the forum knows if any plastic model company is planning on doing more ships of this time period.

I'm not really looking at the resin models. I prefer plastic. I also like 1/350 for scale. It's a real nice display size for me; not too big, yet big enough for nice details. Glencoe has a nice 1/225 U.S.S. Oregon, which I might try as well but I would love some of the ships that saw action in WW I; Iron Duke, Lion, Vann Der Tann, Seydlitz and I would really love to do HMS Dreadnought. So, anyone know if anything like that is going to show up?

Hi there. A warm welcome to you.

I am sure one of our members will be able to give you the info you need. It's not really an area I personally know much about. However, you might also get some info you need from this site: http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/
