    Lost Robert Capa Pictures....Found!

    Just found this on t'internet.

Everyone thought most of Robert Capa's pictures taken during the Omaha Beach Landings in June 1944 were destroyed whilst being processed back in England......Not so, the Smithsonian Institute in the U.S. have unearthed a handful of forgotten pictures taken by Capa at the time.

    Great news!

    Cheers,

    Ron

They look just like a grey scale macro photo of a diorama what with there being no discernable background don't you think?

I doubt the Smithsonian is trying to pull our chain here though eh!

It's nice when "lost" information is found unexpectedly, history like this shouldn't be forgotten and the more physical evidence we have, the less likely it going to be.

      Keep trawling T'interweb Ron

Very nice photos Ron. Well done. Were they done in Photoshop?

I thought the whole idea behind a decent wind up was to let it run a bit more than a few posts ... ah well

Maybe Ian's right and they'll be popping up on other websites, claiming authenticity, in a few months, or ... maybe there are some that will buy them ... you could have a new income to subsidise your modeling finances Ron

I thought they first looked like photos of a diorama.
