    The Education System

Last half-term, my youngest daughters project subject was "Escape", largely based around events in WW2, and they even got to watch "The Great Escape". I was quite happy, I actually got to talk to her about something I knew a bit about...!!!!

This half-term, the subject is "The Battle of Britain".......................one happy daddy !!

I'm never going to knock the education system again.........

    Cheers, Neil

          Yes great idea.

When I was at school, long time ago, all the children I would guess above 8 years old were taken to see the story of Douglas Bader.

Also another Scott of the Antartic. When about 15 when at Kingston Technical School ( now demolished horrible) we were taken to REME the Royal Electrical & Mechanical & Engineers home to see what that was all about.

Each stuck in my memory & that is the real great way of teaching. Not only that REME did a great Sausages & Chips. We were there when last post was played by the bugler out in the open courtyard. The amazing thing happened all of our class, 25 boys, stood stock still while it was played in the twilight with an Autumn chill in the air. No body had instructed us it just happened unforgettable.
