    Slowing servos - How to?

    Slow Servos

Can anyone reccomend a product to slow down the rotational speed of a typical Proportional servo. I don't want to create a delay on the servo but just slow the speed it takes to rotate.

A cheap, Compact solution if possible!

I'm figuring out how the gun elevation will operate on my tank, it loses the scale look if the gun barrel waves around like a london cabbie's middle finger!

Mount a gear wheel on the servo outlet and use that to drive another gear or even a gearbox. You can reduce the rotation to what speed you want then.

I wanted to control the time it takes for the servo to travel it's full throw, at present it's about 1/2 a second.

There are units for slowing down servos for flaps and retracts on aircraft but wondered if anyone found any that were particularly good.

          Try here

These are about the best, but I had to use servo boosters with them to get them to work with my Robbe F14 set, and he is great to deal with. I think he builds to order, so expect a slight delay in delivery.

Have got 3 of these on my Dusseldorf build and they give a fairly smooth action, others I have tried move in 'steps' and look too 'jerky'
