I think I found the culprit who has been pinching modelling parts... It sits there staring at me...and when I move I find a piece has disappeared!/QUOTE]
Creepy Eddie. You could be onto a scientific phenomenon.
Apologies Si keep calling you Eddie. Just forgot after the long break here.
Laurie
No worries Laurie, I answer to both and some other choice words...normally from the missus when I misbehave.

I hope you didn’t put it outside.
I daren't, it kept positioning itself to face me everytime I moved...I could hear it taunting me.

And it’s only a baby one Si, wait until it’s fully grown you’ll find whole kits missing :smiling2:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I have had a few like that in the workshed, I had a tank covered in webs...took me ages to pluck up the courage to take it down and clean.
Looks like a Giant House Spider - usually harmless if you keep on its good side. :flushed:
At the moment it feels threatened as YOU have invaded IT'S man cave without asking - that's why it sits watching you. You'r plastic bits are going missing as it's building it's own little kit.
It doesn't need your brushes - it has eight of its own!!!!
However it WILL be borrowing your glue and paint's when it's ready.
(They do a good camo scheme - applying all four colours at the same time) :smiling2::smiling2:
Keep offering it tea & biscuits. The occasional beer and party invite doesn't go a miss either. :thumb2:
As it grows it will learn to accept you into its family and will regard you as one of its "brothers" - like any other predator it won't bite the hand that feeds it!!!:smiling2:

I asked because people tend to put spiders outside, but house spiders often don’t survive that because, well, they’re house spiders They’ll move on their own eventually, and if you feel a need to get one out of your way, just put it in a dark place in your house somewhere (I usually release them in the attic ) where it can go and hunt for other little critters that infest your house.

It lives in the workshed which is at the bottom of the garden...so, cannot complain really. Gor that type of spider I was surprised it followed me when I moved...must want to be my mate or, it was sizing me up and working out of it had enough venom :smiling2:
Looks like a young female house spider. Expect her to get bigger, and to multiply!
Not venomous but she’s able to bite!
Maybe she enjoys role play piloting?
I found one in my workspace, huddled between the carpet and the skirt. No evidence of pilfered plastic as yet.
Maybe they are attracted by something we all have in common???
