No need to thin it. Just shake it well to mix it up, pour (carefully) of use a dropper, to put some in the airbrush and paint way. Word of caution. Less is more.... If you over do it it will end up just looking like paint.

The cheap and good cleaner would be Cellulose thinners.

Dont forget to check that the primer you are using can accept a 'hot' lacquer with out boiling up.

Good old Halfords Plastic Primer works very well for all but the highly polished finishes. They need a gloss black primer.

Ian has told you all you need to know. I mist it on to build up the look I want.

It's easy,it has to be the simplest way of obtaining a convincing natural metal finish.

      Cheers

A thing I forgot to say was forget the normal left to right to left, spray pattern. Just go at it like a woman painting a wall. Left, right, up. down and diagonally

Sounds daft but it gives a better cover without as many coats. This is what Alclad is all about. Just enough to do the job.

Don't forget to turn the air down low either or you will fill the room with Alclad dust. lol (how do I know that.....)

Show us how it turns out.
