    Ebay shops in HK

Has anyone used any of the HK/Japan shops on ebay before? I'm trying to get a model of my car "Honda Civic Type R EP3" and can only find them in these shops. Just wondering how reliable they (and the post) is.

    Ta.

I have used a couple and they have all been fine. Its the Buggers in customs you have to watch out for. Be prepared for an extra bill. You might get away with it, but dont count on it.

I`ve used them quite a few times and never had a problem , as with all eBay sellers check the feed back ratings first , delivery can take 2-3 days longer but thats to be expected, as for our customs I`ve never had a problem yet , although all my parcels have been opened - checked - and re-sealed then stamped by customs to show who opened them.

I too have bought stuff from H/K and the U.S. with no bother. All the salient points have been covered except.....Royal Mail (Parcel Force) call them what you will.

They are the ones that can sting you. Once they get their hands on the goods they seem to charge what they like for 'delivery' If you are unfortunate enough to have to pay Customs Duty, these bandits charge a 'getting money for the Customs man' on top of their delivery charge! It did happen to me once...

Also, don't ask for the sender to mark the goods as 'Gift'. The Custom's men just love the phrase and will be in your packet like a dose of salts!

Having said all that, H/K ebay is a great way to get those obscure kits and you can save money...sometimes not, it's the luck of the draw.

I have found H.K. people slick, reliable and very polite....

Have a look at there feedback, I have ordered many items from Hong Kong, and never had a problem, never been stung for any import duty either, but I think if your only buying one or two kits, they go though customs without any problems,
