Excellent post Barrie. It sums things up very nicely.
Alexander.
Sling Facebook or at least use it for your own convenience, not for other folks to bombard you with garbage! Thus speaks my wife, not I. I never go near these social media thingies. I'm too busy having a life to enjoy without knowing that little Johnny has been sick down his daddies back again......
Regarding model making. I don't get uptight and stressed out, simply because I'm a near enough merchant. This works every time when I begin to twitch!.
If I'm happy with my efforts that is all that matters. I don't try to get things spot on right. I admire folks that do try, it's just not for me. This keeps the know it all, I know better, nit pickers away from my builds. They probably consider any intervention a complete waste of time....Suits me fine. Peace and tranquility are my companions.
As Barrie writes - "Enjoy your hobby end of story"
Regards Ron (another old guy who has been there, seen it, done it)
I have to agree whole heartily with Ron, I model purely for the fun of it. If it's not historically right or the wrong colour I really don't care I just try to make it look as good as I can.
As to FB there are a lot of sad puppies on there.
Facebook is such a jumped-up place, modelling should be a fun relaxing thing. I have come off loads of pages now guys, the sad thing is I join this year only to look at modelling, the sad irony .
