Hi chaps.
I won't go into chapter and verse but what basically started as tummy pains two weeks ago led to a GP's visit, some rather alarming blood test results, and admittance to hospital last Tuesday. After much prodding, poking and scanning, thankfully the doctors decided to try a non-surgical route (avoiding me wearing a stoma bag for the rest of my life) and it seems to have worked.
They released me yesterday evening to continue my recovery at home. I'm still on antibiotics (tablets now) but the pain has reduced massively (God bless morphine!) and the hopes are for a full recovery with just a few dietary tweaks to prevent future outbreaks.
Still a way to go but I feel like I'm on the mend. Looking forward to catching up with what I've missed but I've no idea when I'll feel up to going out to the shed and cracking on with something myself, especially in this awful weather!
Andy.
