    Medicine help?

    Hi chaps.

Just been to the chemists to buy my pills for the old creaking joins. Not only has the price gone up, but the government subsidy has been removed. so bit of a long shoot but can you buy Arthritis medicine in Britain over the counter.

Its not a medicine as much as a health supliment (well in Denmark) The stuff I am looking for is called Glucosamin capsules 400mg. Its no cure but takes the edge off things.

I ask here as I know that a good portion of our members here are on the wronge side of fifty, so may have the same creaky joints problems.

I almost feel over back wards when I was told the price now £30 a bottle! And that was the cheap ones.....

Hope some one there knows it and where it can be bought.

What numbers in a bottle are you talking about Ian.

A quick look on the net shows a lot of companies selling the stuff.

If you let me know what numbers you expect for the £30 I will see what I can get in Jersey. Our GST (VAT) is only 5% here.

    Laurie

PS you are lucky I am the wrong side of 70.

      Hi Ian,

Yes, you can buy this over the counter at Boots chemist.

Not sure what the strenght is but I'll look for you, and I don't think it's anywhere as costly as that.

I'll post as soon as I know anything more concrete.

      Tony.

Thanks Chaps, the bottle I got today for £30 was for 270 capsules. They where also a copyfarm The 'good stuff' costs even more, about £50 for about the same amount.

One of the things I am so glad about Laurie, Being only 51 and a bit I have so many years to really enjoy my pains in.....Still could be worse I can still walk, LOL.

          Hi Ian

Its also a health supplement over here!

I see your Government have been clamping down on illegal imports of Glucosamine probably making people wary with where on the net to get it too?

A legit company to give you an example of price is Holland & Barrett they do in the FAQ section under shipping say they ship to European country's so it may be worth a try and give them a call. Channel Islands are included so with Laurie's help you might be onto a winner!

          Hope this helps

          Rich

My heart is with you Ian. Suffered from Psoriasis since 18 & unfortunately it is associated with arthritis but in my circumstances comes & goes. IE the wretched immune system going wild. Also suffered from back problems & wore reinforced corsets until a racing car hit me 10 years ago & put it all right. I do not recommend the treatment.
