    Email question

Want a Banner applied to my emails.

Have produced & applied the banner. The email now opens with the banner so no problems there.

But there are only two options. You either have the banner top or bottom of the page.

It is in these fixed positions & for instance if the email is long it reaches & writes over the banner. Also if the email is short there is a lot of blank page between the message & the banner.

Does any member know if you can move the banner position as required. For instance with WORD a picture inserted moves down as the text catches up.

My first thoughts are that you will need to have the document as a HTML instead of plain text. That way the banner will (should) remain in a constant position depending on how you code it.

Its been rather a long time since I even thought about HTML so I could well be wrong. I am sure that we have a few chaps on here that play with web pages for a living. They should be able to put you right.

      Thanks Ian.

I am using HTML going to plain text & the banner disappears.

Sure there is away some how as I have seen emails sent which have the banner immediately below the signature.

You will need some webspace then upload your picture, open notepad and put in this code

Then save the file somewhere on your computer as mailsig.html

and then you need to attach that as your signature, and I'm working from memory here as I have a Mac now (oh and it's loads harder doing it on a Mac) in Outlook go to Tools / Accounts and you should have the option there to choose a file as a signature.

If you don't have any webspace let me know and I will upload it to my server for you.

Very many thanks for your time John. And thanks for the web space offer. I have some so that is ok.

Now to see if I can do all of that !

If you use outlook then ....

Tools .... options .....mail format .....signature picker.

click "new signature" ...... choose "start with a blank signature" ........click "next" ..........click "advanced edit"

This should open Microsoft Frontpage or whatever Web editing software you have on your PC.

You just compose your signature with text, images and links like you would any web page ... save it ..... and then it'll be available to choose in your signature list.
