I have just ordered a kit by hobby boss, has anyone any idea what these are like and is there usually any problems? Thanks in advance.

Modern kits that generally fit well and are reasonably accurate. Hobby Boss and Trumpeter are part of the same company, IIRC, so if you’ve built any Trumpeter kits that should tell you what to expect. -
I've ordered the blohm and Voss 141. Strange looking but always wanted one for the collection.Comment

Seems to be OK. Tom is usually pretty good with his build reviews:

Hobby Boss are a mixed bag. I only really know about the 1/32 scale aircraft.
The new B24 has some significant accuracy issues that have deterred me from it, but it is a lot of plastic for your money and they clearly decided to keep costs down at the expense of accuracy. I should think it would be fun to build if you don’t mind the issues.
The Black Widow is a good kit. A few accuracy issues but nothing really to worry about. Complex but well engineered.
The Mk5 Spitfire has some accuracy issues that are difficult to deal with. Not a great kit but it looks like a Spit and I have seen some good results.
The Sturmovik really is a great kit, a real pleasure to build and no real issues.Comment
