I dont have the sets ,but just a range of colors that can be mixed and match,along with the 136,and one other dark color,Nos exciting as Andy's great buy above ( Nice one ,mate. ) The postman, not person I might add, kindly brought these to Race Towers late this afternoon
Hopefully the 2 sets might help or or at the worst hinder my figure painting.
I'd seen a Youtube video on figure painting with the guy using these Lifecolor Paints , as I'm not going to be spraying them I thought why not give them a try.
So the order was made with John.

John.

do like the idea of the twin,did see at the ipmms show last year one of theses,s type,so dose the frame act as a tank as well, ? if so is the volume ,close to that of a tank ?I was still having endless problems with my cheap compressor so went for the "go big or go home" option.

I've only had a quick play with it but I'm impressed so far! Slightly louder than the AS186 but only runs for a few seconds to top up the small tank (built into the carry handle), so evens itself out. Air delivery is so smooth, I've got no excuses now :smiling5:
Plans are to plumb the tank from the AS186 inline with it, which, as well as increasing storage capacity will act as an expansion chamber, ruling out any possibility of water coming through the lines (not that I have a problem with my current set up).
if so just keep that ,but on the other hand would like to see ,the setup and how to do,

John, I've been using Lifecolor sets for WWII german uniforms and Italian uniforms. They are good with brushes, but never tried them with the "hissing thing". I was tempted by the "Flesh colours" set but did not make up my mind, yet. Hope you will enjoy them.Nos exciting as Andy's great buy above ( Nice one ,mate. ) The postman, not person I might add, kindly brought these to Race Towers late this afternoon

Andy, I took the same decision and bought it some months ago. Didn't use it very much, yet, but I got the same impression: smooth but a little noisier than my previous one (bought in 1986...).I was still having endless problems with my cheap compressor so went for the "go big or go home" option.

Hi Andy, had a play last night, used 50% water, made as they suggested a milky thickness. Very thin when it went on, but looking this morning I was quite impressed. Hopefully I will post later on the build.Comment

Actually a LifeMiniatures bust, I have it in the stash and the PDF on my hard drive, sold to me by Carl Startin as a good bust for beginners, sad to stay I've not started it.Just had this book delivered, from Historex Agents;
Its a great book, just flicking through it, with colour marks/ colour chips and a complete paint of Young miniatures bust, which by the way you can get as a PDF, but a lot easier to see the steps, and have the book open when using it for advise;

Hi all
So as we have the Battle of Britain GB on at the moment I saw these and after reading some good reviews bought them on spec.
Lots of reference pics of various items - apparently a lot are taken of items in private collections. It does though add some short background stories to go with some of the reference pics though.
For those of like me lacking knowledge in this area a useful addition.

All you need is the Ant Hill Mob to go with that Dave!Postie just delivered this:

I ordered this on Monday evening, and it was in my hands at !0:00 Wednesday. VERY good service from Kits For Sale Ltd - AND I got a surprise discount for being a repeat customer!
The model is down as pre-owned, but apart from scuffing around the edges, is as new, parts still bagged. Now I can add a real American Limousine to my line-up.
