I’ve wanted this conversion kit for thirty years, but couldn’t afford it back then. When I could, it was long out of production, but I’ve now managed to find one second-hand

I remember looking through the Verlinden stuff and just dreaming about it, now I can afford it I've bought suprisingly little. (That and it can be hard to get and prices are overinflated.)Comment

Verlinden’s early stuff is quite good, but everything they made in the last 20 years or so (before the company threw in the towel, anyway) is a bit suspect in terms of quality, IMHO. If it says “Made in Belgium” on the box, it’s probably worth buying. If it says “Made in USA” you may want to think twice, if you ask me
 (At least long enough to figure out whether it’s a re-issue from when they were still based in Belgium
)

I still have parts of that left, having used a fair amount of the set to update some kits 20+ years ago

A 1/35 nice figure directly from the artist (whose lab made my mouth watering... :tongue-out
; he lives and works just 10 km from my home, so go and fetch it was the easiest solution.
It will be a pleasant diversion while waiting the glue to set during next builds.
... and some colours too

It is very nice indeed... and despite my terrible pics!
Here is another exemple of the quality of his (not mine... :disappointed2: ) works: https://www.scale-models.co.uk/threa...-tanker.34957/Comment
