Update,
Just heard from Pete's son Chris.
Pete is now being moved to the Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea where he will be given a super antibiotic which appear to be very painful to administer and has to be done on a drip. Pete has now had the full face mask and throat tube removed and is now just on a full face mask, and more importantly is on solid food - so those of you expecting some the expensive grapes you get in the private rooms have had it :tired:.
Again I have forwarded all your get well wishes, which I know are a great help to Pete's family.
More later when I get a update.
Mike.

Thanks Chris and Mike.
Sounds as if there is some positive news - solid food and the removal of the throat tube.
We grown ups who spend hours sticking bits of plastic together and then sharing this eccentricity on a forum need to stick together. Pete, you're one of our own, and we are all rooting for you.

Seems an advance party has already been sent in and they are scurrying about harassing the Doctors and pinching the bums of every nurse in the building.:tongue-out3:
Can't believe I've missed this so adding my best wishes to Pete and his family and hoping this super drug does the business and aids a full and speedy recovery.
Glad that Pete has been moved to the Royal Brompton Hospital.
I know that he goes there for tests every year.
Being the foremost and largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe Pete is now in the right place.
