Not sure which service that is on John but for those that have Sky TV it is on channel 160

Hi Alan , just on a normal tv, not sky,or anything. It's a channel that's new to me.
No doubt there will be lots of inaccuracies , and maybe even film that was shot in the East, as I've seen that before.:smiling:
But saying that I shall watch and enjoy.

To be fair I must say that the sloped armor thorium and effectiveness against solid shot is to be commended
and was indeed revolutionary. But delivering it where and when needed in sufficient and reliably mechanical numbers cannot be ignored in
the over all scheme of things.

Just look at how they floundered in the Russian muds and sub zero temps of the Eastern Front with their petrol engines freezing up and narrow tracks being far
from effective in the deep Russian winter snows.

Sorry to say the beautifully designed and sexy looking German AFVs took a horrible beating from the crude and ugly Russian beasts.

Of course the "kill ratio" was slanted in Germany's favor against the Sherman but one cannot dismiss the fact that they lost miserably and horribly.
Has anyone thought to factor in the Russian contribution with their T34 and KV variants being all but immune except to the mighty 88
              at almost replying ranges?

No one admires and loves the German armor of WW2 more than I and all can see that most of my projects are of the same.
Let's just not let fondness and romantic notions skew the facts.

Not in the slightest Jim. It was nothing like your xenophobic or borderline racist regarding China comment you made on the Coronavirus thread that i quite rightly deleted.

If you have an issue with the deleted comment then please feel free to raise the point with owner/admin John or Ian. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to point you to the nearest sin bin or exit.

(Video starts at a relevant part to your comment, but the whole thing is well worth watching.)

Jakko' I'm sure it is relevant, I only wish I could hear it, my volume is up all the way but all I get is crickets. Will try to pull it up another way.

Ok, just did, went directly to u tube pulled it right up and sorry to say even at full volume it is virtually inaudible
Seems to be something about slope angles and such

Odd, the audio is fairly clear when I play the video. His voice is a bit distorted because of the microphone etc. he’s using, but I can hear what he has to say well enough. Have you tried plugging headphones into your computer?

Certainly well worth watching, thanks. Volume was good for me.

If the guy had used the correct mic such as a cardiod microphone there would have been less picking up of the echo .

Having watched the programme and realised it was more about the making of the film Fury it was still interesting from the behind the scenes perspective.
Seeing that Bovington had entrusted them with the Tiger certainly gave the film more credence.
What did anybody else think to the programme ?
