    Any ideas?

I am not sure whether this is the best place to post this. Anyway...

After my P40 I think I will start my Tamiya 1:32 Mustang.

I want to complete it in RAF colours as either a MkIV or MkIVa.

I have obtained some aftermarket decals but I am not particularly happy about the options.

I would prefer a 112 Sdn aircraft with the famous sharks mouth. I am doing my P40 as a 112 bird and these kites were replaced by Mustang and I would like both types displayed as 112.

I can put together codes etc from aftermarker decals but I cannot find the distinctive sharks mouth for a 1:32 scale Mustang.

Does anyone have a solution they can suggest? Is there a decal set that I have not been able to locate perhaps?

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

    Barry

    Hi Barry,

You could always buy decal film and make your own. I'm currently doing 1/48 P-40 AVG which has the old sharksmouth and I'd be happy to scan it and send you the image to work from.

    Kind Regards

    Chris

I just did an internet search and ended up finding some 112 sqn decals but for the earlier Mk III Mustang. I assume that the nose section of the MkIII and MkIV were identical so the sharks mouth might be used for either type. I will have to check the codes etc for interchangeability but I do not see that as a problem because RAF codes and markings are generally well catered for.
