Question for our forum members in Germany

I have found a model shop company that sell a certain Eduard PE set in Germany that for some reason i cannot get here in the UK. The set costs 15 Euros but the company wants 15 Euros to send it to the UK. My question is. How much does it cost to send a letter to the UK fro Germany. The PE set would fit inside an envelope.

I'd have thought 15 Euros is way off the mark Alan. Deutche Post is cheap.

On further investigation it would seem they will only post external of Germany via UPS. That's where the price comes from. Shame really as i'd really like that PE. Hey ho.

It Might be worth checking Eduard direct, I have ordered PE direct from them, I dont know minimum postage to UK, but I bought a couple of sets of PE for kits I planned to do and a couple of Eduard kits as well,

i had to make use of the post age didn’t I

Didn't know you could get PE direct from them. Learn something new every day. I think this may be a discontinued set as the only set now available is in Japan.

Best i get myself some really fine paint brushes now and try to paint the cockpit panel instead

The Deutsche Post used to have decent prices and relaxed shipping policies. I could send a kit to the isle as a maxi brief (letter) for €3,70. An etch set could be sent in a normal letter for under €2,00. Beginning of 2019, that changed and now you can only send paper and no merchandise in a letter, no matter what size (They check) and a kit to the isle now costs €9,00 uninsured….Maybe Brexit had something to do with it too, but I can't say for sure. UPS is the most expensive along with GLS...…………..
