I guess rivets on 1/35 armour are suppose to be embossed or raised. The tool engraves rivet detail for aircraft modeling.

That’s exactly why I haven’t used mine: I don’t build many aircraft that need them I did realise when I bought them that they wouldn’t be much use for rivets on armoured vehicles, though. Anyway, since these Trumpeter tools are nicely inexpensive, I’ll hang onto mine in case I find a good use for it in future.
