This took some serious thought, I use very little cash normally anyway, most of the time it is credit or debit card. But after some thought it was back in mid january for a taxi from Rome airport to my hotel on a business trip, the taxi was only because it was late at night, normally I take the train. And only cash because he wouldn’t take a credit card.
When was the last time you handled cash?

Pretty much the only cash I use goes into the vending machine at work, and that hasn't happened for a few months.
I rarely visit shops, and if I have to buy fuel I use the pay at pump (by card) option wherever possible.
Many of our local pubs take cards, but usually my wife goes to the bar anyway.Comment

I know exactly the time and the day I last handled cash.
May 9th 1970. 2.30 p.m. I quietly bought my best man a drink at my wedding day reception.
My new wife spotted me and said "That's enough of that, thank you!"
That, good people is the last time I ever saw or handled cash......Comment

Excluding Traveller's Cheques, it was 1982. Wrote a check to pay my rent and it bounced...Twice!!! The funny part was I had 5 times the amount of the check in my bank account. I went to the bank, showed them the bounced checks and asked why. After a sort of stupid answer from the manager, I not so politely closed my account (I called him an idiot among other things). No checks were written since then, even with my new bank which offered me a checking acount………...………...Life's to short to be a sheep...Comment
