Unfinnished kits , own up guys

Is it only me or do some of you guys half build a kit then start another one , after sorting out my stash I`ve found 11 projects started and put away , this bad habit has got to stop so from now on only one kit on the bench at a time , also buying kits I worked out for every kit I start or sometimes finnish I`m buying three kits , at this rate I`m gonna run out of years , I know ebay is to blame for this but with bargins getting harder and harder to find because money is so tight for everyone with whats going on it might just be a blessing ?

Right then I`ve just pulled out a half built Ninja ZXRR from the stash and it will on the bench till finnished I hope LOL.

Building and buying how do you gents do it ?

Discipline my good fellow! If I start a kit I always finish it,I've never given up on one. It would probably have been better if I HAD binned one or two, seeing the rather sorry results. I also maintain a stash in single figures.

The only thing I have difficulty controlling is my book buying impulse,SWMBO informs me that Smith and Creek's new first volume of their Fw190 series is at the post office awaiting my return!

    Cheers

I only have one model that I have yet to finish. Its not given up on its just one of those long ongoing projects I just get fed up with and walk away rather than cock it up!

I often have had two on the go at a time, but that really eats up the shelf space, so I try to keep it down to one at a time. I find that this ends with I take even longer to build them.....Hmmm.

          Airbrushing holds me up.

Apart from a terrible airfix corsair with awful moulding, i have 2 that require painting and working an a 3rd.

As soon as the airbrush is fixed i will get them finished off

Usually 1 or 2 in the build stage but half a dozen in various states of finishing/weathering

The only kit I've ever binned was a Revell 1/96 Apollo Columbia & Eagle, it was just awful

I have to confess that I'm looking at a box containing a Tamiya He-219 that's been left for the best part of 2 years! Not to mention the M26 Pershing that's been on the go for ages.

Note to self : must try harder to finish stuff!

I try not to have more than one or two builds on the go at any one time, however I do have an Airfix 1:25th Chrysler Imperial that has been on the go for many years, it's at the stage where it needs primer, but that's as far as it's got, I have the Tamiya 2cv 90% finished, but for some reason I started on the Morgan 4/4, but they have both come to a half while I'm working on a 1:35th model for a Military models mag'

I have to hang my head in shame after reading some of your posts guys, i have at least 8 or 9 kits that need finishing!

I keep saying to mysell that i will get around to finishing them, but, i always find something else i like the look of, or i get bored, and put them to one side whilst i start another.

But to be fare, i have started to revamp some of my much older kits, and the ones that are waiting...well they will still be there, well thats my excuse!

You know I am so glad that it's not just me that has a builds that needs finishing.

My P38 is at full stop and the 1/48 Me 109 is on dead slow.

When I see the likes of Roman and others who seem to turn out kits on a production line I feel I should do better.

Thanks for cheering me up guys.

                            Tony.
