lol, i used to spend time on there, always good for a laugh...the one where he got the scammer to rent a boat and crew and a sat phone and head out to sea looking for a non existant raft of diamonds (i think it was) was priceless

i once had an email scammer going for a while......the usual 'i have 200 million dollars i cant get out of the country unless i have your bank details' sort.........dont know why but i replied 'yeah, ill have some of that'..............we swopped a few emails and he sent me a form to fill in..............ended up my name was Alan Carr with suitably sourced pic off t'internet.........my address was that of the American Embassy in London.........my Bank details was the Bank of England....and he still didnt twig on........i span him along for a bit cos i had missed out certain 'important' info and he kept asking for it......eventually he asked if he could phone me to speed things along

dont know why but i never heard from him again

perhaps it was cos the number i gave him was to the Office of the Northern Director of the UK Online Fraud Investigation Unit

bugger never did send me the 200 million :tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

So much fun wasting a scammers time.
This is one of my favourite sports. I kept one going the other day, until I let slip into the conversation I was part of the security team at Microsoft, she hung up, never said goodbye. I don't work for Microsoft.

I had this call as well - kept him on for about 20 min - then told him that as I work for M/soft, I knew that as a company we do not ring people !! Same result

its not just the scammers.......its the telemarketing people i hate

when we moved last time we kept getting all the different energy suppliers phoning us up.......the memshaib got it down to fine art (only cos i wasnt trusted to take the calls cos i would have just told them to 'go away')

'can i ask whos your energy supplier?'
            'we havnt got one'
'what do you mean you havnt got one?'
'well, we knocked a couple of bricks out between us and our neighbours and we have plugged an extention lead into one of his sockets'
            'click'

            or the one the went.....

'can i ask who your energy supplier is?'
            'we dont need one'
            'why dont you need one?'
'well, we have erected a giant windmill in the back garden and make out own electricity.....in fact we have too much of it....would you like to buy some?'
            'click'

            or the one........

'can i ask who your energy supplier is?'
'well who do you get yours from?'
'i cant tell you that....its personal information'
'but you think its ok to phone me up and ask the same personal questions?'
            'but its my job'
'what? phoning up women on their own asking personal questions?........what are you? some kind of pervert?'
            'click'
