Why i havent posted anything on forum.

    Hi everyone.
I am sorry I haven't posted anything on the forum lately.
    What have I been doing.
Well in January 2020 made redundant, february 2020 started new job.
In March 2020 government country lockdown happened. In
September 2020 a member of staff at work leaves suddenly ( her husband made redundant he got a new job but was not at home to look after the 5 kids they have which mean she carnt work) in October 2020 government introduced the only 6 people group. so this meant me going from day shifts to night shifts to cover ( I work in a care home for the elderly me and the care home are covid-19 free, we are tested each week for it). My boss cannot get agency staff in to cover as they go from care home to care home, and employing new staff is a problem as interviewing a people is a risk. So I am presently juggling work and home life. On top of this on the coast where I live 2 weeks ago we had a storm which caused damage to my home. This year my Life has been challenging and I hope next year will be better.
I am hoping to start a new hobby with your help any suggestions?.

Hi Sue, Sorry to hear about all the upheaval and turmoil you are going through. Good to know you are healthy and gainfully employed. When you say "a new hobby" are you talking about a new project or something different than scale modeling? I thought your fairy was great so perhaps a different category of figure? Did you see the figure that Monica just completed? It's a red haired lass with a fox, thought that turned out really well.....check it out if you have time. Good to hear from you.
Take care and stay safe, Rick H.

              Good grief Sue.
Have you thought about being a cat juggler?
It'll be easier than doing what you've been doing or been done to.
              Jon.

Hi John. I did wonder weather to try something new but I think I will stay with painting a figure.
                  Thank you John. Sue

Hi Chris. Give my love and hugs to both you and jen. Oh my not your roof again Chris I hope no damage to your personal possessions in the loft.
As you know I have new fencing up in back garden last year, this year after storm 3 posts are damaged one ripped off my back gate and fence panel. I have got new posts after a homebase delivery, so will have a go at putting them in lol. I have painted my lounge door and hung it backup and regrouted bathroom. My washing machine is making a horrible noise so I guess that on its way out my fridge freezer the fridge parts not working freezer bit is, so I've brought a mini camping fridge as a temporary fix. I was looking forward to retirement in a few years but government have put a spanner in the works on that for me. Be lovely to see you both again, I'm not brain sleepy on next Wednesday and Friday Chris. Stay safe keep well. Sue.

Sounds like you’ve been through the wringer a bit recently Sue. I hope life settles down a bit over winter....
If you are thinking of painting another figure there is an almost infinite range out there to choose from. You may find Flat figures of interest as well, they are almost like painting a three dimensional picture. If there is a particular subject you are interested in let us know, someone will have come across it.....

Wow this has not been fun Sue. However you appear here to be a very resilient person which is a great virtue.

Although my top virtue among all others by a long mile is determination.

Difficult to point you in any direction unless I know your character. I would say look through all the topics, of which there are many here.
I am sure you will then find inspiration among the multitude of scale models.

In all the model communities there is help in many ways. One way is to publish your build of what ever you choose. Friendship & help is always there.
