    question about profile post area

Is there a way to post pictures from my desktop to the profile post area? The options I see are from a website or from another member's gallery. I'm new - is information like this posted somewhere on the forum? Thanks!

there isn’t an option to attach images there, tbh I’ve never seen the point of that bit of the forum, might as well just start a chat thread where everyone will see it.

The correct way to attract a mod/admin is not to report a post as this is intended as a tool to report abuse/improper posts.
The best way is to do it is by typing @ then the users name. like this @Jakko

That doesn’t get the attention of any moderator or admin, only the one you specifically @name — and it means you have to remember who they are. The Report button is intended for all reasons in which you want to draw an admin’s/moderator’s attention to a particular message — this is why it gives you a box in which you can explain what’s up. You don’t need to use that say there’s a problem with the message itself.

Well excuse me for saying how things work on THIS forum.
In my ignorance I have only ever seen the Report system used to draw attention to infringements and the like.
Apparently I am wrong but then I have only been an admin on here since 2008, so I must still have lots to learn.

Can someone ever mention something to you that goes against your own ideas about it, without you responding like you just did?

The Report button alerts admins/moderators to a message, is all I’m saying. Yes, the most common use is to flag it for something like being offensive, spam, etc. — but it doesn’t need to be for just that. Unless you want to institute a forum house rule about it, of course.

Interesting exchange. I guess I didn't indicate that I wanted to follow this thread or something. Anyway, All I was asking for was if I could post on the profile post area such as pictures of my workshop. The answer is no. Thank you. I apologize for no following up quickly, I could have saved you much confusion.
