    Seriously?

Just had one of 'those' moments....

I've been working on an ICM truck in 1/35 and lost a window winder from one of the doors after it pinged off the tweezers for the second time. (Managed to find it the first time). And after a fruitless search gave it up as a lost cause. I was wearing the magnifier and didn't see where it had gone. That was sometime earlier in the week.

Fast forward to this afternoon and while working on something else entirely, the little bu**er turns up right there on my cutting mat!

Meantime of course, the door and other truck parts are in my workshop down the end of the garden for paint.

Now I need to find somewhere to keep it safe (and where I can remember) for a further fitting attempt at a later date.

    Shakes head wearily.....

    Sod's law or what......

I am fully expecting an aileron balance from my recent 110 build to turn up before the end of the year. I can't even blame the carpet monster as we have a hard floor in the kitchen.......

Put it in a blob of blu tac and stick it to the wall. It's what I do with small parts that ping around. Keeps them safe and under control.

You're really rather lucky Nick. The carpet monster doesn't usually return its captives until after you've built, modified, scrounged or bought a replacement!

You haven't met the clue tack monster yet then Paul? I'd stick the part to something clear with a bit of masking tape.
