    The Great Conjunction

I'm into a bit of the old astronomy and thought some on here might like to know this.

Jupiter and Saturn are becoming aligned and so shall appear as one bright object in the nights sky this December, coming to the peak on Monday 21st December. The planets will appear in the southwest sky, just above the horizon shortly after sunset. Some suggest that this might have been the 'Star of Bethlehem' as the timeline coincides with the alleged birth of some bloke called Jesus (not the Man City player btw).

Well worth a look especially as no-one here will be around next time it happens.

I with you Alan, I find the night sky very interesting I know nothing about it but the shear size and beauty have me gazing on many a clear night.

Just had a look and you can see it. Saturn is really bright but if you look slightly above it at about eleven o'clock position you can see Jupiter. Will have another look later when it's totally dark. Stunning

Bit cloudy here, but if we get a clear night I’ll look for it...
