Been wanting one of these for ages but couldnt find any in the uk that were reasonably priced - all the ones in china were ok but months for delivery. Went to Newark today for a bit of a mooch round the shops and remembered there is a model shop there. Went in and Bingo! There it was for a very reasonable £32 . The spotty desert camo really looks good on the 109 and it looks a lovely kit , just not sure about those rubber tyres again though . I’ll be picking steves ( stona) brains in due course for correct cockpit colours etc , no doubt trumpeter have made a few boo boos !

I had plans to do a scratch built M23 ammo trailer, but got this as soon as it appeared on evilbey. An excellent example of how well printed models can be done. A bit pricey at $25 as it is one piece plus tilt. I would have preferred it to have the front limber & tires and the rear walking beam & tires separate items for posing purposes, but beggars can't be choosers. Built to carry 8" or 155mm projectiles upright on the floor w/powder containers over them & fuses in the external box at the front. Deployed Jan. 44.

That is a very cool trailer, doesn’t look like anything else you normally see, really. Too bad they didn’t take advantage of the possibilities of 3D printing to, like you said, have some of the bits articulate.Comment

Another ebay capture.................

I had been watching this last week - the starting price was too high in my eyes & there were no bids & it closed. As I hoped, the seller relisted - this time taking offers! Knocked a few quid off as a cheeky offer & it was accepted :thumb2:

Hands up here who thought separate-link tracks are bad …

These are parts someone 3D-printed for me, to make the lower halves of the flail chains for my Sherman Crab that’s (also) been languishing for quite some time due to me not having a good way to make those intricate chains. Now I don’t have that excuse anymore … (For an idea of the size of these: the square tiles around the cardboard are 5 cm.)Comment

Rather you than me Jakko….they look like hundreds of screw link railway couplings, and a single pair of them used to take me about an hour. Mind you, they were working!Comment
