Surprising bargain in the Midl of Lidl this week. £5 mini drill set with clamp plus various bridges, good range of precision bits and some sets of teeny tiny ones. Tested a few on plastic and wood and am rather impressed - nice clean holes and even if the bits break there are numerous spares (30 in sets of five I think). Have a shifty if The Enemy packs you off shopping.

Dang, don't know how I got the double post. Sorry about that..........
Anyway, today my ship really came in (pun intended) and I got my other two pressies from Christmas. This one out of Poland with some goodies that are needed for the plan,
A couple of scrapers with a good range of sizes and the voyager set includes a nut maker too. Handle making tool, spatulas and a pot to keep the hissy stick clean. These were also in the order,
A sprue holder and a little shelf set that holds different sized bottles that don't fit in the other HZ shelves I have. Now a lot of these things I bought over the past week are tied together for a project I have in mind. The last pressie was from a firm here in Germany and over the years, I have always wanted to get some things from him, but never took the step. Thanks to a Christmas bonus from work, I took the step into reality and all I can say is "WOW",
And this one too,
Most excellent detail and quality casting. Laser cut wood too. Now you see what a lot of the other stuff I bought is for. AND..........On Monday, I go back to work for 2 and only 2, days a week!!!!!!!!! Table time (don't have a bench), here I come baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prost, to my Boss
Allen
PS, I have blue foam in the stash, but I'm just too lazy to make my own buildings. Sad, I know..................................Life's to short to be a sheep...Comment

Thanks Tony,
It hasn't sunk in yet, but I am officially retired (got my papers today). The 2 days a week are just to get me out of the house and give me some beer money too!!!
Prost

Congratulations! I still have (currently) 20 years to go. While I don't wish to wish the days away, I can't wait! Enjoy it sir.Comment
