Looking forward to seeing this progress John, I did fancy having a crack at this set, but never could work out a way to show it off to it's full potential..
Of course it should Chris, but alas poor Bob can only think of his beloved StuG and some ship thingy ! I do live in hope though.

a nice project, are you going to use grain of wheat bulbs for the lantern and in the stove?

Hi Peter, yes talked about it with Christine, she showed me one of those mini 3 v candle lights , that sort of thing will be perfect .

Chris following Matron increasing my medication I am less inclined to want to set fire to dioramas at this time, and as the local fire brigade are in self isolation I'm currently banned from any method of inducing fire ! A sigh of the times I'm afraid .

Paul that's a good idea, need to get some bottles or attempt to make some from Miliput.

Hi Jason, hope you will enjoy it, I've loads of ideas on how to display the whole thing, need to build the figures up first and then see how it progresses.
Going to keep the front under wraps !

I certainly didn't think this would attract this much attention before it's even started.
Thank you ,but must get Simon's build done first .
          Thanks.

          John .

Oh no not the dreaded sprue trick Paul, are you hoping I'll set fire to the bench ! :smiling::smiling::smiling:.
A good point really as I have some clear sprue with some headlight covers on, I'll have look and see. :thumb2::thumb2:

Any idea would be welcome as to the name, and any information.

                Thanks John.

I hope you don't mind this piccie in your thread. It is indeed a box diorama and Shep Payne was the master (check out his battle of Trafalgar dio if you can find it on the interweb). The best part of this type of build is having fun with adding lighting,

John, certainly not, I'm grateful, I seem to remember you doing one a few years ago on MM , was It the Girl with the Peal Earring ? Didn't you also do one of a barn.
Luckily I was sent a pdf file of Shep Payne's book , last night I found his very informative section on the box, will take another couple of reads to take it in fully. Many thanks.

I thought these were called perspective dioramas, or is that something different?
