well i tried to place this last night but it did not work so hopefully this time it will. found the web site by accident and would like to converse with like minded vietnam fans. i started the vietnam sig three years ago and had a lot of replies but no one apart from a couple showed any interest. i have handed the group over as i am studying at the moment and it is still being run by a friend called kev and his co partner mick. we can honestly say that we can show about 80 to 100 models at each event and would like to show more if we can get like minded nam modellers to follow us. i do dabble in other kits but as i am stuck with at least twenty nam models in my loft i have a long way to go. all replies welcome. des:smile11:

Welcome Des,
Any pics you can share with us..? I always thought Vietnam made a good backdrop for any Model Diorama.
I do have a Revell 1/32nd UH-1D which is meant to be in the German SAR markings but I have settled for a good old Vietnam scheme and have plenty of decals to play with to bring it to life. I always did like this Helicopter and of course it was the main workhorse in Vietnam too.
The attached pics are the 1/48th Italeri 'Slick' version I built back in 1983 - hence the poor pic quality. These were taken just prior to adding the decals. Needless to say that this model is no longer with us but I do still have another one of these too boxed in the shed waiting to be built !!
Regards........Mark.
