    Motor Suppression :)

    Hi all

I just wondered of anyone knew what type of diodes; resistors (whatever they are) are used for suppressing the motor, or point me to somewhere that does.

A local shop does sell a kit of three per motor, for £5, but won’t let me look close enough to see what type they are. A m8 of mine who works with electronic components say it’s a rip of as these things cost a few pence each, and he can get me whatever type I need, so I just need to find out.

    Many thanks

    Don

hunter systems sell a set of 3 capacitors designed for model motor surpression for £1-30,

i think if memory serves me right, 2 x 5 micro farad to go from motor terminal to the motor can and then the bigger one i think is 270 micro farad from terminal to terminal.

£5 is a bit steep for these Don, you can probably find the same in Maplin for less if you have a store near you.

I found 2 sets for £1.25 on the net: http://www.phoenixmp.com/acatalog/El...cessories.html

        Last item in the list
