    German uniforms????

    I watch a great deal of old and modern world two films & doc's and in every one the german uniform are a light to dark grey... But when painting german figures they tell you to paint them green answers please

    German uniforms are feldgrau or fieldgrey, which is actually a light green-grey. I believe Tamiya make a particular paint in this colour, although you'd be able to mix something up just as easy. Like jeans no 2 uniforms in the field where exactly the same, so some variety is more than ok IMHO

      Tamiya XF-65 ''Field Grey'' was what I used recently.

        Indeed the fieldgrey does have a greenish tinge to it. I'm sure i read or seen some information that during the latter stages of the war some German uniforms were more green that grey due to lack of clothing materials etc. At early points in the war German camo/colours etc were a mix of different designs or styles due to the German army having access to occupied countries field dress.
