OK I know you are all going to think I am very sad as my workbench gets a clean and a tidy every time I return to work in the States. Consequently I do not have any junk in the pictures, boxed or otherwise as I have just had a clean up ready for my departure. It does get messy when I am at home though!

Barry i bet my bench is more crap than yours lol
***Right you asked for it,here is a 'as currently is' picture of part of my workbench,if I tidy it up too much then I will probably never find anything again, this is my winter facility too cold in the shed to work this time of year, many happy hours are spent building here, currently restoring some old models that you can see on the workbench.

            YOU HAVE BOXES.....!?:sobbing:
yup how else do you stack up your accumulated trash and hulls, and wings and god knows what else !- i also have rafter racking in both my shed and garage, these areas are boarded out and guess what, they too are full of stuff and acumalated collections of materials and model parts.

never leave tescos without picking up another sturdy carboard box- great for storing the crap in !!!

wonwinglo, the pic of your bench reminds me a bit of my own...but wait.......

I can see the bench, every square inch is not quite covered......

YOU MUST TRY HARDER !!!! - i cant even remeber the colour of the surface of my bench !

and as for bunkerbarge, its spotless, i dream of a bench like that !!!

and for all you modellers remember

A CLUTTERED DESK IS THE SIGN OF A GENIUS !

when i find my digital camera i will photograph my bench and post the pics on here, however it may take me two weeksto find the camera and another 2 weeks to find the memory card !!!!

Modellers are just born Magpies in disguise,I guarantee that if you throw something away that you have had for years then you will need it tomorrow ! best friend of the modeller is the car boot sale, you would not believe what I have picked up over the years, started kits, bundles of wire, balsa wood stock, plans, engines, redundant model shop stock, electric motors, fretsaws, bandsaws, built up flying models, old boats, plastic sheet etc etc a a fraction of the price they originally sold for.

The picture in question is again the Bismarck. To my mind, alongside the QE2, one of the most stunningly attractive ships ever built. The hull lines are simply superb and one of the most perfrectly balanced examples of form against function.

I know I am in a minority in this thought but what the hell!! The pencil drawing next to the picture is another Bismarck view.

The picture is actually a yard shot of her the first time she left the yard. She is still missing two of the range finders and the funnel top is still shiny silver.

                          Spot the archive.

Right who can identify this picture ? does it depict-

1/ The public records office at Kew ?

2/ The public reader section at a local library ?

3/ Company records from the past ten years ?

4/ Wonwings aircraft records department ?

The clues are there, who possibly would live in a house like this ? it is over to you....

Iain, that is a real utility layout you have there, very workmanlike,I see the Hi-Boy is quite advanced in its construction,an excellent trainer that will fly in any weather.
