Today we popped into a pub for a pint for the first time in 6 months and what a pleasure it was.
The pub in question is The White Hart in Hythe who have done wonders with their 16th century courtyard, turning from just a place for smokers, to a really nice al-fresco drinking and eating area.
Looking around it seems that quite a few other premises have done similar improvements. I cannot help but think that this bodes well for pubs for the future encouraging a more al-fresco lifestyle in the long term.
it was so pleasant that my missus, not being much of a drinker, moaned about how she didn’t really want to sit shivering outside over a drink and actually ended up enjoying herself, so much so that we actually had lunch there!
Has anybody else enjoyed their first al-fresco pint yet and did you enjoy ‘improved’ outdoor facilities?
Anyway, cheers Boris my ‘ole mucker.
