Plus Jersey Cows have been banned fertilized grass. All cow manure & Vraic (seaweed colected by the farmers in the Autumn when the strong tides bring the stuff in).

The Jersey Dairy make butter yoghourt & cheese. To go with the cheese the Vinery make superb Savignon Balanc. Now you will understand why I came to Jersey for just one year & have rooted here for 59 years.

This was back in the '50s apparently the cows were my 'mounts' as I used to ride them when they went out to pasture (can't remember, honest!)

I remember the incessant identity checks that I nearly blurted the wrong name...you see I have trouble pronouncing 'r' and I stammer so saying Richard can be difficult at times and starting with my middle name is easier, I then follow it with the full name. Or I would start with...my name is Richard...you can see my stress levels increasing as I was nearing the OR and it wasn't the thought of the operation.
Another thing, why do they always ask you to count to ten when three is enough...I'm already unconscious by two. :tears-of-joy:

      Cheers,
      Richard

I had a similar experience last month, with hospital procedures not with cows , when I had to remove some "undesirable extra" from my inner right nostril (docs call it paranasal sinus)... I was inquired about my name, surname and DoB every time a new nurse or doctor came in contact with me even inside the surgery room... then someone told me to breath deeply ... ... letting my bar-code bracelet face every further questioning during the following 90 min.:relieved:.
Unlike you, I had to stay in hospital for 3 days and wait until breakfast next day before biting some solid food, if 3 small biscuits and a cup of tea (no milk) fall within the "food" category, that is 36 hrs fasting... at lunch time I could have swallowed a roasted rhino!
Happy modelling and may the gods of cooking spread their wings on your table.:smiling:
            Thanks Andy much appreciated.

Chatting to a couple in the ward. One had had 9 months on & off. Thought damned good omen. Not sure why they tell you, the medic, so many remote things that could go wrong. Just got to put your trust in them not much else to do.

Actually I do not mind being in hospital. Find it is a happy place. Nice people to chat to. Nice nurses you can cheek.
My pshcho not much I can do about anything. Take it as it comes.

Life is a thread quite strong but as you get older it just sags a bit & becomes just a fraction brittle. So what. Incredible supping soup & eating a delcious sandwich 90 mins after an op.
