Reading back over this, we have come across as a sad bunch of mood hoovers haven’t we....
Sorry Alan, I hope you really enjoy it. I’ll probably watch it anyway.Comment

I have seen GoT loved it. Nudity, violence and dragons, what's not to like.
Loved Matt Smith as the doctor and will be interesting to see him in another role.
Agree the end Og GoT was a bit naff.Comment

No, you enjoy it, and want to pass on the news - I've never watched it for the main reason, I don't have Netflix (think that that's the only way to watch it) & I rarely watch TV - and haven't come across the book series yet.Comment

Yes, I'm a GOT fan ( even have the theme tune as my ringtone! ) got all the series, and all the books, so a prequel is interesting - although prequels seem to be generally letdowns - still, we will see ( eventually ! ).
I'm not normally a 'fantasy' watcher ( Lord of the Rings series bored me rigid ), but GOT really got me hooked.
The only other long series that I was addicted to that badly was 'The West Wing'

I thought the Lord of the Rings films were excellent Dave. The Hobbit series was unremittingly awful though!Comment

Amazon are doing a Lord of the Rings series soon, apparently just the first season will cost 450 million so not cutting any corners. I will look forward to those.Comment

Well dont keep us hanging man!
We (the missus and I) dont have ordinary TV! Gave it up years ago and only have streaming services. Pretty much all the mainstream ones and it is still cheaper than "the Packages" we had to buy on our cable service. We did Drop Amazon after Brexit though as they got the idea, as the only streaming service that they are no longer 'in Europe' over 60% og the titles could not be viewed here!Comment

Never seen breaking bad, and got very bored with walking dead after a while, so understand that. Going back a bit I loved the sopranos and twin peaks and find the italian Montalbano series endlessly rewatchable......Comment
