This is a long shot, but..................

Looking in my stash, I find I have a part built 1/700 Revell USS Independence CVL-22 ( originally from Pit Road, later Dragon ). I seem to be missing the decals. It's OK for the aircraft, but it's the large deck numbers I'm struggling to source. I've tried Peddinghaus decals, but no joy.
Does anyone know of any 1/700 USN Carrier Deck numbers?
I may be able to make a mask ( luckily only one number, '2' ), but before I go down this route, I'd prefer decals!
This is the model I have - albeit no box, no instructions & no decals - luckily I downloaded the instructions & all the parts seem to be there

I have no recollection of part building this, so it may be an old ebay purchase - the model is uncommon, and if it was complete in it's original box, I'd be very tempted to sell it on ebay ( heresy! ), as they seem to fetch collectors' prices!

Each letter is roughly 25mm high x 11-12mm wide. I've found letters the right size, in my transfer box, but they're the wrong style, with curves - the USN letters seem to be composed of straight edges..............

Yes agree Chris I am a diorama fanatic.

Has been decided by popular vote of 2 Dave. Now back to the decals.

In the same box, there was also a started one of these:

                  - but with decals - also a Loren Perry PE fret, which when I read the instructions, has bits for the Independence, as well as the Bogue - now I am spoilt for choice.
At one time I had a habit of combining several models into one box, to save space ( of course never labelling them ), so at times it's a real surprise when I open a box from the stash ( or a disappointment ). I know I have a 1/32 Hasegawa Storch in the stash somewhere, but it's safely in residence with another totally unrelated model!

Thanks for that, Tony - I think I'll have to cut a template. I've done a bit of research, and it seems that when the flight decks were painted blue in 1944, the ID numbers were black. The sizing of the numbers is a bit iffy, as well, all I can go on is the width relative to the deck breadth on photos. At least, with a template, it can be any colour I choose. I also found that the CVLs only carried Hellcats & Avengers in operational use, which simplifies the air group.
