Great news Gerry, Glad to hear all went well. As to the typical hospital breakfast....Here, you get bread, slices of unidentifiable meat and a jogurt and of course a cup of brown mud, aka coffee. Hope he's back on his feet real soon.

    Prost

Thanks for all the good wishes.
Yesterday was a tad hectic - got a call to go and collect him - YAY!
So dropped my wife over to his to look after his son as his partner had to go to work (she works evenings) heard that the main road between Ipswich & Norwich was blocked by yet another accident, so decided to flip out to the A11 at Thetford (he'd phoned me to say that it was only taking an extra minute - nothing for a 1 hour 20 minute drive!) got within 15 minutes, so phoned him & just as I hung up, traffic slowed to crawling pace, the bluetooth stated 40% charge, and the radio gave out that there'd been an accident at the next junction! Finally got past the junction, just as he phoned me to find out where I was, then to find him on a hospital campus that I hadn't visited before! Luck must have been on my side, as I took a turning at random & he could see me! :smiling5: Return was a clear road, typical, as once I get near the Norfolk/Suffolk border I know all the back roads back to Ipswich (should've gone that way in the beginning!). Highlight was seeing his sons face when he realised that I'd brought daddy home!
He's now at home, with his wife to be and our grandson, being very careful
