    Rustall

    Hi all

I have acquired 6 sets of Rustall from the US, and am keeping two for myself, and have four which I will be selling off in a day or two when its actually in my hands. I will post a bit in the for sale section when I have it, but if your like me and don't visit that section to often, I thought a heads up here would be let more folk know.

It will be £20 a set plus £3 p&p first class recorded UK sales only, and only 1 per buyer.

If preferred I can list on eBay, but then the price would go up slightly to cover the extra costs. Just in case if you’re wondering if I am a dodgy seller or not, link to eBay shop: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Dons-Place

      Yeah it's good stuff!

I bought a couple of sets from the US, slight problem with their delivery though, originally they mentioned how it can only be sent ground as they are prohibited from carrying it via air, on account of it containing a corrosion accellerant!

It probably would do a freight hold of a 747 cargo much good if the containers ruptured! Anyhow there where probs with the overland shipping and a lot of those items didn't actually get sent as the courier stopped delivering international via overland. Anyhow three months later the second batch came!

      Works well though!

          Hi all

My chum dropped it off today, and of course I had to try it out.

To be honest I am a sceptic when it comes to stuff like this, and had my doubts over it, especially with not so good reports of ‘Scenic Rust’ I have read while looking for a easy way to rust stuff. I was also concerned it would be more like using paints and washes, which do require a fair bit of skill to get looking right, and while it is a paint of sorts, really its just a very very thin brown liquid, which just paints on and gives the appearance of rust instantly. (The liquid part of it evaporates almost instantly.)

To be honest I have never been good at that finishing detail, but even I with a bit of random dabbing, made the bits to go on my boat look fairly good, (was my first go.) You can use it on its own, but I found applying some clear varnish and sprinkling on some dust prior to painting on the rust stuff looks far better. (This is explained on the web site)

So picture attached of my few bits I did today.

It comes with a info sheet, but there are full instructions on their web site, which are very clear and well detailed.
