    Whats next to go wrong!!

After a month of ME problems and being totally out of sorts followed by a friend taking his life i had a call from my nieces friend.

Gemma my neice lives in Woking and was due for a scan to check for stones as shes in a lot pain. She was in agony this afternoon so her friend who did not mess about called 999. The paramedic took one look and blue lights later shes in hospital, a surgeon is on the way in to do a emergency op to remove her gall bladder. Worried rotten and far away.

    I give up!!

Sorry to here that mate, for what's it's worth its a very common op and most people can leave hospital same or next day if it's keyhole surgery.

Very kind of you both Andy, much appreciated, just heard they cannot do the op because the gall bladder is inflammed, so shes pumped full of drugs and pain control, so planned for Friday.

              Thanks Mark. Appreciated

She has just seen the surgeon, as you say keyhole, 2 days in and 10 days rest, planned for Friday afternoon, she has 2 young lads who are being looked after by a excellent friend, so thats a relief.

Hi Bob, hoping Gemma gets her operation & has a speedy recovery. Take it easy mate, you've had enough of a bad time of it, take some time for yourself.

Bob do not worry gall bladder is one of the most successful operations ever.

4:30 in theater.. Op finished also repaired a hernia. Anesthetist gives antidote.

6:00 soup & so succulent sandwiches on the ward.

8:30 Walked home ,10 minutes , Opened door walked into flat. Kissed wife. She was surprised.

8:45 Large glass Sauvigon Blanc. Loved it. Yes

                          Watched a film. Well OK

Next day 5 holes in my torso slightly sore. But resumed model making.

All holes now healed. Body working perfectly (well near better with out gaul bladder.)

So no worries these medic bods certainly know what they are doing.

                          All this at 82 vintage.

Cataract one next Wednesday next. Cataract two 14 days later. Cannot come soon enough

The hard part having to pay for it. Damn it. Makes a hole in the Sauvignon money box.

One thing I realized having spent a number of times in Hospital. They are very safe places to be.
They test all your vital organs. They perform blood tests with a huge number of specific things that
                          they look for.

Suspicion down to xray or a scan. . Chemist comes down to review all your medications. In my case
been feeling yucks they found Potassium levels low.

So no gloom & doom. Great majority of hospitalizations are super beneficial. You come out better than
                          when you went in.

                          Laurie

Stiff upper lip, as the code of the Woosters says, and "all nights have to come to an end" as a popular Neapolitan saying teaches (translation is mine :fearful: so I hope I didn't mess up its meaning which is: "there's always light after darkness").
