Afgan vet finally in Airport and safe

Not to everyones taste especially with the horrors of Afganistan but

Have just read that the Afghan veteran Pen has with British armed support finally got into Kabul airport with his staff and just as important the rescued animals. Next step flight home to safety

Being a animal lover this has really cheered me up, what a decent human being he could have got out but would not.

Good to know Bob, it was very doubtful earlier this week when they held him up.

One small victory for goodness in the midst of such chaos. Wishing Pen, all his staff and his innocent animals all the best.

I think everyone that gets out is a small victory for humanity. Glad he has though. I am also extremely impressed with the aid being collected around the country for the refugees when they arrive. That compassion shows there is more right with our society than there is wrong.

Sad place & anyone including animals has luck on their side if they get out of that place.

What place on earth controls a crowd by firing on them & killing children.

Feel for the families of the British Men & Women serving out in Afghanistan .
Their families must be living a nightmare every hour minute of the day.

Well done Men & Women doing a fabulous job. A little cameo. The Squadron
Leader (a lady) instructed her men ,supervising the passengers into the transporters,
to take off their protective gear. Shed their rifles to give the men a normal welcoming look.
