Tankfest 2021 - Sunday 19th - Anyone going?

I think your about an hour and a quarter from Bovington in normal traffic, so I would give yourself about ninety minutes to get there tomorrow…..and make sure you take the right turning as you get near Bovvy or you will end up in Monkeyworld , which is also excellent

Google said it was an hour but I was already going to build in some extra time and besides although the gates open at 10, we're not watching the arena display until the afternoon, as they're duplicating them am & pm to try and keep social distancing....

and of course we have to have a full cooked breakfast first...and a man can only get up so early on a Sunday morning....

......especially after he was up at 7 to take junior to take him to his his football teams match of the season.....

not that I'm complaining that I'm going to Tankfest of course.... Just hope the weather improves. Forecast isn't great for the morning last time I checked.

Hi all

So waiting for the afternoon display to start, had to get seats 45 minutes ahead of time to get a decent view. Weather has been better than forecast and quite sunny so far but clouding up a bit..... :sad:

Not quite so many outdoor displays or stalls as 2018 when we last came but there is still too much to do in one day if you include the museum......

Got a few photos..... About 260 so far...... Although a number will obviously be culled.
