    Model Expo Italy 2021 Verona

Yesterday I went for the first time at the model expo in Verona.
A lot of empty spaces, probably due to the long term effects of COVID lock down that forced the organization to postpone the Expo 2 times and finally cancel it in 2020.
Here are some of the few pics I took there.

Here's my shopping. The two kits were in a bin marked "5 € each". The Hurricane is in perfect conditions while the Matchbox Tempest is an almost empty box with just 2 decal sheets (in very good conditions) and some minor parts but no wings and no fuselage, alas :loudly-crying:. Anyway, not too bad in the balance for 10€.
And here are some of the models on display.

As you can see from the last pic, the show could have hosted many more guests... Maybe next year.

Great stuff. Any exhibition is better than no exhibition. The model of Roma is the jewel as said by others, but Leopoldo looks a good close second!

Yes, Paul. It's the "Roma" in his (in Italian Navy ships, when mentioned by their name, are male) last paint scheme, without the red and white diagonal stripes on his bow.
It's a 1:200 kit heavily re-arranged by the modelist who made a deep and thorough historical research.
I'm sorry the pic I took of the sinking Bismark model is really too bad to be published:loudly-crying:; that was an even more outstanding model. I hope next year will be on display again and my photo skills improved.

Some other pics of the show.
S79 of Lt. Carlo Emanuele Buscaglia in Rodi, 1941, just before his first mission on Alessandria harbour.
            some fun with toons.
            Leghorn harbour in 1944.
            U-boot under maintenance.
Blindo (armoured car) Centauro with KFOR markings (those granting security to Decane monastery sported that sun shield on the turret)
and finally a pic of the railway modeling area.

Thank you for your attention and kind words. Unfortunately I was so concentrated on the models I almost forgot to take good or passable pics; I'm considering to be more careful next year IOT offer a more thorough reportage .

Hi Andrea, nice to see a show again. Pity not as many as you would normally wish for, at least you could see everything up close.
Thanks for posting, good to see such a variation of models :thumb2:
