Simon T - one year on

A year ago today we lost our friend and fellow modeller Simon. It was a huge shock to us all and his humour, kindness, modelling skill and willingness to help others is greatly missed.
To get a sense of what Simon was about, whether you're new to the forum or an old hand, I can do no better than guide you to the Saga of the Wascally Wabbit.
So today as we sit at our bench perhaps give a thought and remember Simon.

Absolutely Jim. His enthusiasm and perseverance when turning absolute dogs of kits into veritable jewels is still very much missed.

      Very well put Jim....
      And a superb sentiment.
I do actually think of Simon on quite a regular basis when at my bench..... especially if it's late at night !!
I have been known to actually talk to him out loud from time to time!!
      RIP Simon,NEVER to be forgotten.

I’d forgotten about the weird hours….always surprised he didn’t superglue his head to the bench when he fell asleep…..top bloke :thumb2:

Thanks for the timely reminder Jim.

                Yes indeed, one top fella!

                R.I.P. Mr 'T'

Perhaps today the models we made in his memory could be shown again?....Just a thought.

I can but agree with everyone else. A sadly missed Top Fella.

A kit which Simon bought just a few weeks before he died. I have no idea what he intended but here is my tribute to my friend.

Can't believe it's been a year. I didn't know him very well at all, having only joined the forum a year before he passed away but he was kind enough to comment on some of my builds

Any death is a sad thing but all the more so given his age.

Jim - thanks for the reminder.

Like everyone else I can’t believe the year has gone so quickly. We certainly lost a great modeller and top bloke when he passed. RIP
