    What's your favourite scale?

Exactly as it says on the tin. What's your favourite model scale? This probably relates closely to your favourite subject. Comments welcome!

In my case is a combination of what made me get back into the hobby combined with space considerations, so in other words 1/72....... Planes and AFVs........ Although I have dabbled with a couple of 1/35 afvs

I try multiple scales. It depends what I want to model and what scale it is available in.

For me it depends on the subject. AFV's in 35, aircraft in 48, cars in 24 and bikes in 12.

I'm the same. I tend to be a bit of a modelling butterfly - I flit from one scale to another and try various genres. That makes me a Jack of all trades but master of none.

            yep,
I move around on scales - 1/700 ships, 1/35 armour, 1/48 aircraft but if anything takes my fancy I'll have a go at a subject in any scale!

More or less Jim's reply .

It depends on any ideas that come along, then I root around for that particular kit. But usually any scale, any type. Variety is the spice of life.

One thing more. Sticking to the same sort of kit would drive me bonkers.......To each his or her own though, eh?

In most cases I like to do aircraft in 1/48 and AFV in 1/35.

I also love aircraft in 1/32 but they take up to much space, I have a few AFV projects in 1/72 which are also fun but a 1/35 model on the shelf is usually more impressive I find.
                Cheers,
                Steven

                  Need I say it?

1/32 aircraft, naturally, though my stash is currently mostly 1/48....

I work with all scales and sometimes if it’s scratch built you can go by your own interpretation but if I had to choose probably 1/6th scale like the grandeur of the thing lol

Duh, 1/87. Like to show unit action & model RR. Back when I did wingy things, 1/48.

                        all of them

armour is braille & 1/35............planes is 1/72 & 1/48.............cars 1/24 &1/25...............bikes 1/12 & 1/9.....anything else is driven by the subject and not the scale it comes in

Just like building the models that I like fancy fits the bill.

Also on a diorama I do like to keep models all to the
same scale. It looks so much more life like I find !!!

Generally I work in 1/72 or 1/48 for aircraft, but that is largely a matter of I like the subject and available space. In the past I built 1/600 and 1/1200 ships and 1/35 or 1/76 AFV.

Started with 1/35, have tried several 1/72, but rather small for my eye.
Really interested in Pre War Russian and WW2 Armour. Along with a few German to keep Bob happy :smiling3::nerd:
