    Diagnosis.

Had some more x-rays on my knees and they have confirmed that my arthritis has gotten worse. Tearing and fluid build up also.

Self referring to MSK and see what they say.

Cannot kneel, pain when bending and pain when lying down, can't win LOL. Coupled with hand pain and my disabilities I am...to say struggling a bit but, I SHALL PREVAIL!

I think I need to look in the spares and junk boxes and see if I can make myself some sort of exoskeleton on the cheap.

Cheers Tim, one of those things I suppose, I am trying get some weight off. Got Arthritis in my lower spine and hand pain etc but my knees have slowly gotten worse to the point that I could hardly move. I have to be careful of taking Ibuprofen as it can set my asthmas and copd off. It got that bad that I had 4 Ibuprofen and some steroid gel in a one day just to try and get some comfort. They have calmed down but if I move wrong the pain around my knee and down my shins is excruciating.

Just talking it easy and trying to keep warm and rest when I have to. Modelling the workshed is down to an hour, due to the cold but also down to the fact I just cannot sit for long without my knees locking.

Can't imagine the pain you're in Si. I've only got rickety knee pains from too much hockey on astro turf. The hot weather hear helps.
There ought to be some form of relief they can give after all the examinations. Keep spirits up.

            Cheers,
            Richard

                    Si,
it's a b****r when things start breaking down - you just have to adapt to your limitations - don't give up doing things, just find another way!
                    All the best

Sorry to read of the 'problems' in your opening post, Si.

Reading the rest it looks like you are being as positive as you can be - Keeping a sense of humour and fighting the arthritis as best you can.

                      Good man!

                      Best Wishes,

Cheers fellas, thanks for the support. It is the problem with getting older, we wear out. If, it ever gets to the point I am struggling with detail parts on models, I will just go back to making crusty, rusty sunken stuff:smiling2:

I have arthritis anyway and managed it, just this past few months it got so bad that even resting wasn't helping much. Hopefully they can prescribe some better meds or injections. Funnily enough, my knees have settled down, the fluid is far less, still cannot kneel down but, can move better. I know this temporary though.

                              Thank you mate for commenting.
