Not sure how long it took him (with a little help from daddy), but it was completed Christmas day morning -

Wow Gerry, That's really nice to see and he sure does look happy with it. The first of many builds I suppose.......

That's great. So good to see a youngster doing something productive. Tell him "Well done, a fine model"

Hopefully, it'll start him off - not too sure how much help 'daddy' had to give him, just been told "a bit".

Cool father and son bonding by bonding of a kit together and I presume some accidental bonding of fingers as well. :smiling2: Nice finish and hope it ignites his enthusiasm for the hobby as he grows. :thumb2:

Gerry I'm sure you enjoyed it as much as your son did.

              Cheers,
              Richard

Well that looks quite splendid. Maybe one day, it will be the real thing.

                    Richard,
It's a 'no glue, no paint' kit so no bonding of fingers
It's my grandson/son, so it was a case of trying to re-ignite sons interest, and see if my grandson is 'ready' to start this hobby

Ah so, Gerry so that's your son and grandson in the picture I gather. These snap fit kits are just the thing for clean fingers.

                      Cheers,
                      Richard

Yes, youngest son - he's quite a good modeller in his own right, and good with a 'hairy-stick' - will put up one of his builds from years ago on here later.

Here's a couple of his (my youngest sons) 1/35 builds (have to excuse the dust) - half-track tracks are the standard one-piece tamiya plastic ones, and the SPG are the standard tamiya separate links.
