    Variety of subjects on offer

After looking at the yearbook thread I have been struck yet again by the sheer variety of subjects illustrated on this forum. It is an absolute cornerstone of the site. The ability to post most any type of build and have it supported and understood is one of the things that keeps me coming back. I’m not going to single any one type of build or genre out because I appreciate them all. For a scale agnostic modelling butterfly like myself I always find something of interest. Long may it continue :thumb2: :thumb2:

I agree with you, Tim. Far better than the single subject sites.

          Hi Tim
Same here. Everything in every scale. Even if something is not in my interest it is always good to see the skills of others.
And yes Chris, it is a great forum due to the great people on it and the way it is run by the mods.

              Tim,
yes - I really like the wide range of subjects, preferable to single subject forums ( yes, I'm a member of a few ), and the friendly banter is the icing on the cake!

I don't know about other multi subject forums, but I would guess there is none more relaxed, friendly and helpful than this one.

A very good point Tim. Don't really appreciate large scale figure painting in particular until I joined this forum.

The best part about this place IS the diversity. I find it hard to find a better place for inspiration. In a slump just have a look at the builds on here and something normally turns up that just says "build me".
Also a gold mine of tips, tricks and helpful suggestions.
Once you get to know the GOM that tries to keep a tiny bit of order on site, he's not so bad either. :tongue-out3:

Agree with all of what’s been said chaps. The cross fertilisation between disciplines is worthwhile as well….figure painters can learn from the ship modellers, car modellers can learn from tank modellers etc….

Absolutely true and I love this place!!! So many helpful folks and so many different topics to enjoy. We have a fantastic group of Modelers making really brilliant things. Naturally, the banter (is that really a word) is tops and I am guilty a lot of the time for it. But it's all fun and brings us all closer together as a community sharing a common interest, our hobby!!! I only wish I could keep up with it all........

I stumbled in here a little while back, great place - but I can see that it's going to cost me - gone from 1 in the 'stash' to 6!:surprised:
