I was telling my wife Sharon about Jen's car boot and shopping abilities, and she reckons Jen's a woman after her own heart.
Only problem is, she hasn't bought me any models or stuff yet, I'm hoping she took the rather subtle hint though.

To be fair Chris, I know she looks out for bargains for me, but TBH the car boots in NZ are pretty few and far between, we do have garage sales, but they are pretty much of a rip off, so she doesn't bother with them.
Sharon is a hawk at the various charity shops though, so here's hoping.Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.Comment

Over here there's very little chance of a bargain as everyone wants to make a profit of at least 50% more than their original price. Even if its at a bargain event. People just don't know the concept of a garage sale and term everything as collectibles.
Many junk shops are killing prices ever since people were interested in rustic and preservation of antics. Also the Asian mentality of everything bought has to be new with warranty and aftersales service. If broken, buy a new one...repairing could be an endless ordeal hence repair shops are slowly disappearing.
But you got a real bargain hunter there Chris :thumb2:
Cheers,

Another couple of quid auction site jobber. Just for initial diorama experimentation, nothing fancy! When I come to do a real one, I'll make my own buildings.Attached FilesComment
