As I have said before…my career has not recovered from Covid, and since Christmas I have been really struggling financially, most months worried about the rent. However, I have a consultancy role for two weeks that will pay quite well, and has me out in Singapore, where there are some fantastic modelling shops. Think SMS in physical form, with huge discounts. I have been to a certain Miniature Hobbies before so knew what to expect and went with a wishlist of sorts. I of course got distracted by shiny things, ignored my list completely and bought the below. All for under £100.

In all fairness, the shelves are stacked so high you would be lucky to find specific items without asking.

Yum, yum! What's not to like with bananas! (Or oranges dependent on your initial colour perception!)

Thanks John. Fingers crossed. Yeah I’m certainly not in the worst situation.

Took a punt & got it for £9.85 delivered. The F50 has been part made & it looks like I can do a salvage job on it, but I'm not really bothered. The biggie is the F 310B. The loose bits were all in a big ziploc back. I had a worrying couple of minutes, but checked that all bits were there & the decals are OK.
Sometimes taking a risk does work on ebay ( although £10 is pushing it! ) :thumb2:

These two miniatures arrived today. The dwarf gem collector is from Mr Lee's Minis, the girl with the raptor (or dragon) on her arm is Kuri, from Black Crow Miniatures, purchased from El Greco Miniatures.

I'll probably start with the gem collector, and I'm thinking of trying object source lighting, making the gem in his hand glow. Not done OSL before, so it could get messy. I'll start a build thread in the appropriate section.

Look forward to that Paul. OSL has always scared me off for some reason…

It scares me too, Tim, as does non-metallic metal. I might try that on one of these, too.

Never tried that either. I always think it photograps well, but can be less successful from other angles. I seem to remember John (Wotan) doing a whole Mustang fighter in NMM once, but he’s a genius LOL.
